SMART INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AWARDED SEAPORT-E PRIME CONTRACT
The U.S. Navy awarded Smart Innovative Solutions an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) prime contract to provide services solicited by divisions of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps under the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition program. The award was announced on December 19, 2008.
The Government estimates a maximum of 5,300,000,000 of services will be procured per year under the SeaPort-e multiple award contracts. The contract scope includes 22 functional services areas, including engineering, technical, quality assurance, information technology, logistics, training and numerous other services. The award has a three month base period, plus one five-year option and one four-year mine-month option.
Based on this award, Smart Innovative Solutions will now be eligible to compete for service requirements solicited by Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, Office of Naval Research, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the U.S. Marine Corps.
“Being awarded a SeaPort-e prime contract allows Smart Innovative Solutions to provide the U.S. Navy a broad range of technical support services from some of the best companies in the industry," said Stephanie Randle, President of Smart Innovative Solutions . "We firmly believe this is the beginning of a long and successful relationship between Smart Innovative Solutions and the U.S. Navy".
Under the terms of this contract vehicle, Smart Innovative Solutions will compete for task orders in three geographic zones for a broad range of support services, including Research and Development Support; Engineering, System Engineering and Process Engineering Support; Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support; Information System (IS) Development, Information Assurance (IA), and Information Technology (IT) Support; and Program Support.
Smart Innovative Solutions is partnered with AC4S, Security Associates and Access Systems on this SeaPort-e Enhanced acquisition program. |
